2 cups Rava
1 cup plain Yogurt
1 cup Water
1/4 cup vegetables (carrots, french beans, corn etc.) - finely chopped
2 teaspoons ginger - chilli paste
1 1/2 teaspoons Eno's fruit salt
1 tablespoon oil
Salt - to taste
1 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (til)
Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
2 tablespoon oil
Handful of Curry leaves
2-3 Green Chillies diced
2 tbsp Water
1/2 bunch chopped Cilantro (Dhaniya)
2 tbsp shredded Coconut
1. Mix the rava, plain Yogurt ,water vegetables, ginger-green chilli paste, oil and salt in a bowl to make a smooth batter. Keep aside for an hour.
2. Add fruit salt, mix well and pour the batter into a greased round thali. Steam for 15 minutes.
3. Prepare the tempering by heating the oil, adding the mustard seeds,Curry leaves,Green Chillies
sesame seeds and asafoetida Once the ingredients start spluttering, add the water and immediately pour the tadka over the dhokla.
4.Cut the dhokla into pieces and garnish with chopped cilantro leaves and coconut.
5. Rava Dhokla is ready to be served hot.
